Web Site News - Be Back Soon
Ferdy says that the practice of blogpaddling (explaining why you're not blogging) is considered lame, and therefore doing it is my responsibility as the inferior life form in this team.
For the past two weeks I have been working very hard on the new version of the NMPDR web site, and have been unable to perform my duties as curator of Linkfest Haven Deluxe or as editor of Conservative Cat.
Since December, I have been working on a vision for the NMPDR web site that I think will make it the best tool in the world for creating the next century's disease-fighting technology. In addition to a database of over 1000 genomes (including 79 new ones since December), the new site will be better organized, and includes instructional material which I hope will make the site a useful tool even for non-technical people with small budgets. Ferdy's superior skills as a writer are essential for that part, and I do appreciate that he's been willing to take time from this blog to work on one of my projects.
Hopefully things will get back to normal very soon.

Sounds like an amazing project. We'll see you and Ferdy when you get back.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the explanation. I thought Ferdy had broken a paw. I guess the NMPDR must take precedence but I pray it won't be for too much longer.
