Confused Americans for Truth - Crossing Over in Texas

by Ferdinand T Cat

Hillary Clinton is still alive, and Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist Bud Kennedy is unhappy. Kennedy believes that Clinton won in Texas because Republicans crossed over to mess up the Democrats.

Rush Limbaugh urged his listeners to vote for Hillary because he thinks it's the only way to keep the debate going. According to Rush, Hillary Clinton is in a position to expose Obama's unsuitability for the Oval Office, while Republicans are hamstrung by the rules of political correctness. He has a point. I've been following Hillary Clinton's comments on Obama and find myself continually in the odd position of agreeing with her.

For some time, the polls at Real Clear Politics have shown McCain beating Clinton but losing to Obama. Some people have concluded that we need to get Hillary on top of the Democratic ticket so that McCain can win. Laura Ingraham hinted at this on yesterday's radio show, when she quipped that Texas Republicans have a chance to "vote for Hillary Clinton before voting against her".

These are both bad reasons to vote for Hillary. Nonetheless, voting for her is the right thing to do. The world has become a very dangerous place, and Obama's glittering optimism would be useless. A telling example is this pro-Obama piece by a Chicago Sun-Times reporter, in which Obama talks tough to African political leaders and then returns home, having changed exactly nothing. At least Jesse Jackson was able to free a prisoner or two when he meddled in U.S. foreign policy.

Limbaugh and Ingraham have to be careful about the way they hand out advice during this campaign. If Republicans really understood the fine points of what makes a good President, then we wouldn't have John McCain as our nominee. Still, the truth is that a President Hillary Clinton would be better for America than a President Barack Obama. Win, lose, or draw, that has to be our first consideration.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

That's what I told my husband. I voted (twice!) for Hillary yesterday. because the Repub race was already decided, nobody down ticket was up against serious competition and if worse came to worse and the Dem candidate becomes President, I'd much rather it be Hillary.

she's at least visited Afghanistan, and while my husband was there no less.

What? Osama (Bin Laden) is now running for President and the Kennedys support him?

"If Republicans really understood the fine points of what makes a good President..."

Oh, heck, Ferdie, if Repugnican'ts understood even the most _rudimentary_ things about what would make a decent, even almost good president, Juan Mexicain would have been down and out before the first primary.
