Notes from Ferdy - In Which I Set the Record Straight

There are some rumors I need to quash before they spread too far.

First, we all have lame days, and even a superior life form has accidents. I hurt my eye, and it got a little swollen. While it is true that my Withering Look was not practical with my left eye half-shut, I was not "hiding from the kittens". It's just that heat rises, and so I deduced that the heat register under Barb Gigamaster's bed (which is on the second floor) would be the best place to keep warm. It's pure coincidence that I was also behind a large pile of blankets where no one could see me.

Furthermore, when I decided to come downstairs today I did not "creep into the room like I was afraid I'd be attacked at any moment." I'm mature, I'm a vicious predator, and I'm not afraid of a pair of kittens who pounce with all the skill and grace of a nearsighted hippo. It's just that the teenagers had been playing video games all morning and I was worried about stepping on a game disc or something similar.

I mean, does this look like a photo of someone who's scared of a couple of kittens?

Anyway, I just wanted to make sure everybody understood what's really going on here.
