The Girl Who Feeds Me - Livin' Life: A Napster Musical
Bruce, Peg-Eye Nate, and The Girl Who Feeds Me all use the Napster music service. Bruce has very strong opinions about copyright law, so he refused to even allow the original Napster in the house, but once they became legitimate, he subscribed on the grounds that efforts to do things legally should be supported. Because Napster is a subscription service rather than a buy-as-you-go thing like iTunes, you can listen to a song somebody else likes without buying it. The three of them are constantly trading songs in this fashion.
The Girl came up with the idea of creating a playlist of songs that tell a story when played in sequence. If you are a Napster subscriber, you can click here to hear it. (If you're not a Napster subscriber, the above link will give you a 7-day free trial, so be careful.) The general plot outline is a young woman breaking up with her boyfriend, getting a job, going to wild parties, accidentally getting married, having children, and looking back on the whole experience. The links in the table are for iTunes users. (I have no illusions about who is the 800-pound gorilla in that market.)

Hi there, Ferdy. I stayed away from Napster myself. Now I have RealPlayer AND iTunes. Let's not forget Windows' whatever it's called. (I seldom use it.)
Have you ever noticed how much space it takes up on your computer? My goodness! One person demands that you have iTunes to listen to BlogTalkRadio, I like RealPlayer because I started out with it, and the windows one came with the computer.
iTunes took all of my tunes from RealPlayer and added them to its program. I have 50% or less capacity left on my computer. (Some songs I have 2 of, because they came with the CD's I bought. Ugh)
Have a wonderful day!
PS. I don't know why you keep getting caught in my spammer on WP, but I check it often. Do you have any tricks I can try? I do not own it (wordpress.com is the provider). Have a great day, and say hello to that nice lady who feeds you and Bruce. ;)

The space thing is one advantage of Napster. If you use the Napster player, you don't need to download anything so long as you /have an active Internet connection. This is critical, because we use Amazon Unbox, and those videos don't leave a lot of available space for music files.
