Confused Americans for Truth - The Obama/Kenya Connection

An EMAIL is making the rounds about a connection between presumptive President Barack Obama and marxist muslim religious fanatics in Kenya. The salient point is the following paragraph.

Obama under "friends of Obama" gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in east Germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of a rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily. As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, crying rigged election if he doesn't win and possibly cause a race war in America.

Okay, first off, there is not going to be a race war. If McCain wins, the people who work at the New York Times can overturn the results of the election with a minimum of violence.

Second, while there may be some truth to the idea that Obama supporters also support this Raila Odinga guy, liberals are always going to side with the anti-American faction in any foreign conflict. Altruism ranks high with them, and supporting a pro-American faction could be construed as selfishness.

The EMAIL continues with this statement.

What we would like you to know is what the American press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a Muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 9-11 threat that was just the beginning.

Recall that when Barack Obama's affiliation with Trinity United threatened his chances at the White House, he dropped it like a hot potato. These are not the actions of a man who is guided by religion.

All of these Obama conspiracy theories are ludicrous because they could only be pulled off by Barack Obama the myth. Barack Obama the man didn't work hard to get where he is today: his Senate seat was a gift from the Chicago newspapers. His Presidential campaign is a similar gift from the national press. Trust me on this: running a country is a job, not a gift. If the entire Congress can't manage something as simple as losing the Iraq War, there's no way a mope like Obama can execute a complicated conspiracy to hand the country over to the terrorists.

So please, let's stop with the crazy emails. I knew the guy before he was famous, and you're giving him credit for brains he simply does not have.
