The Dimwit Zone - Sailor Moon All Over Again

by Ferdinand T Cat

Sailor Obama: believe in the change
Ever since I first saw Barack Obama's web site, an alarm has been going off in my head: I knew I'd seen it all somewhere before. Then earlier today, Bruce and Nate were discussing anime cartoons, and suddenly I remembered why all this "believe in yourself" stuff was so familiar.

So if the standard Barack Obama leaves you feeling just a bit deceived, consider our version, from a world where ordinary kids can get super-powers just by saying the right words, and the difference between a regular ray beam and a ray beam powerful enough to destroy energy-stealing alien monsters is determined by how much you believe in yourself.

It makes a lot more sense that way.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

Oh my Lord! LOL. How are you doing? Have you found any more lint to chase? You take good care of She Who Feeds You and Bruce, and I'll talk to ya later. ;)

LOL! Love it. That's a great graphic! Obama looks more natural in a skirt. :)

I saw this post over at The Mad Pigeon and had to come check you out. That's a great graphic. Just like I said over there, Obama somehow looks more natural in a skirt! LOL!

I defend the right of people to express their views, I think a case can be made that some of the anti-liberal hate speech in America goes over the top. For some choice examples click here. I’m not sure what the solution is, but I’m pretty sure telling people to wish their fellow Americans were dead because of their politics is about as un-American as it gets.

Unfortunately, it's easier to be against something than for something, so moral outrage is the primary currency of modern politics. In an effort to distinguish this blog from others, I've tried to be about about skepticism, not outrage. (PLEASE NOTE: this is not because I'm cute and fluffy! I'm a highly skilled killer! It's just that I'm psychologically designed to deliver the minimum necessary force.) Nonetheless, all the moral outrage flying around tends to bring a lot of wrath following in its wake. I think it's because too few people are listening to their cats. Sailor Moon's top advisor is a cat, and that's why I continued watching the show even after the high incidence of those stupid, believe-in-yourself endings throughout the early episodes. Bill Clinton worked with a cat, but Hillary Clinton did not, and this is why Bill spent 8 years in the White House and Hillary lost to a guy whose speeches all read like particularly bad episodes of Sailor Moon. So find the person who made the heated jibe about people deserving to die, convince him or her to adopt a cat, and it will solve your problem. Trust me on this one: more cats is the solution!
