Laura Ingraham - No More Laura Ingraham in the Chicago Market

by Ferdinand T Cat

Yes, it's very upsetting. A few years ago, station WIND-AM. the local Salem radio affiliate, moved Laura Ingraham to noon so that they could carry Dennis Miller live. Now, as a result of a split between Salem and Talk Radio Network, This means that even though Laura Ingraham has added several new stations, she's not available in Chicago any more.

Most days, we listen to Laura over the internet using our Laura 365 membership, so we didn't even notice until Bruce tried to tune in yesterday on the way to a meeting at the lab. A subsequent search on Laura's station finder page came up empty.

This is very bad news, because it means Chicago is unlikely to be on the list of stops to make the next time she does a book tour; however, Chicago is a blue city in an extremely blue state, so the fact we even have a conservative talk radio station could be considered a small miracle.

We'll keep our ears to the ground on this and let you know if there's a change.

Respectfully submitted,

Ferdinand T. Cat

This really sucks, I looked forward to her show every day. Now, after Dennis Miller, I will be switching over to WLS and Rush Limbaugh.

Enjoyed Laura's show, especially when it aired live on WIND from 9-AM to noon. Replacing her show with Dennis Miller, was, IMO, a definate down-grade. Ingraham's show was always quite substantive on political/cultural issues. Miller's is not only an ear-strain to listen to, but meanders off topic too often with trivial nonsense. This most disappointing replacement for the Laura Ingraham show has caused me to become a steady WLS listener.

I live in Chicago and I am glad Laura is out! her radical point of view and lack of tolerance just speak bad of the conservative movement. I wish smarter radio host like Dennis Prager and Bill Bennett were back in the mornings instead of another radical Mike Gallagher.

Chicagoans living near the lakefront can hear Laura Ingraham in real-time [n.b. her former time slot on WIND was a delayed broadcast] via WHFB AM 1060 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

WHFB also carries real-time broadcasts of Bill Bennett, Bill O'Reilly, and Sean Hannity, and is the only outlet in the Chicago region carrying the first two. Note also that early morning reception of the station may be poor due to FCC restrictions on nighttime power.

Today is November 5th ... im posting this to display my appaul over an issue i am ashamed to say i am was not aware of and i can assure happened in other major markets that im about to research to ascertain the depths of the reach of true political power(aka Obama's, Daleys, and Ram Ewomanuals :) venture into the political playground). Laura Ingaham was hands down the most effective convservative voice in chicago as all informed listeners democratic or republican would agree and the fact that her voice was removed from chicagos airwaves prior to this presidential election is enlightening and humorous. Terms like "in the bag" have found there way into mainstream society and as wallstreet falls i say Let the games begin gentlemen. And dont forget ... This Friday document what you make and what the government takes from your paycheck... After Obamas change begins go back and compare a few months from now what you take home and what the government keeps... Carpe Diem ;)

well tickle me blue and call me Nostradamus... A quick lil Googie reveals Laura was removed from Philadelphia and Denver two major cities in crucial swing states... Im sure a deeper investigation would reveal more so have at it my convservative friends and remember... Fight the good fight ;) God Bless America
