Adventures with Bruce - Halloween with the Family

by Ferdinand T Cat

Ellie as an Emo and as herself
I was asleep when The Gremlin left for school in the morning, so when she came back in the afternoon, I just about fainted. The image on the right is the real Gremlin; on the left is The Gremlin disguised as a teenage emo. Even her teachers didn't recognize her.

After several experiments, we determined that the key was the smile: when she's pouting, she's the Stranger Emo Girl; when she's smiling, she's my same old Gremlin.

More Halloween stories below the fold.

Boots got into the spirit of the day by disguising himself as a pair of boots. You'll note that he's not actually wearing a costume. Instead, he figured that if he slept next to another pair of boots, no one would notice the difference.

Of course, no Halloween is complete without a major candy harvest. The Gremlin deposited her treats on Bruce's bed, sorted them by category, then promptly left for a sleepover at a friend's house, leaving Bruce with a candy-covered bed. The downside here is that Bruce is diabetic.

Of course, Bruce's bed is not supposed to be a candy-sorting platform, it's supposed to be a place for cats to sleep so we can supervise him while he works. The whole candy situation makes this impractical, so Lucky had to sleep under the bed. I'm sure there's an explanation for why he stuck his head under the blanket, but I'm equally sure I don't want to know what it is.

Peg-Eye Nate handled passing out candy to the kids who came by the house. His outfit pretty much speaks for itself.
