Notes from Ferdy - Money Talk
Okay, so maybe I was wrong and you can buy an election.
Sorry about that. I couldn't resist.
A large portion of the next few weeks will be filled with analysis of why the Republicans lost and why Barack Obama won. I'm not going to do that here, because I don't think it matters. Liberalism requires the acquisition of power, but conservatism should be about the application of principle. This is a much more difficult path, because it means our guys don't get a free pass on scandals and they do. Still, the rule of law is always better than the rule of men, so the principles are important.
In the meantime, Bruce, who is easily confused even in the best of times, keeps thinking that he's back in 1976 and we just elected Jimmy Carter. The good news is that we survived that, and we'll survive this, too.
Respectfully submitted,
Ferdinand T. Cat
